Cutting sorting your coupons will take approximately 1 to 2 hours each week, depending on the number of inserts. If you use the Grocery Guide, all of the sales, prices and recommended purchases are provided for you. Your time spent in the grocery store will be minimized. What if we don't use the products the coupons are for? Coupons are for household cleaners, health beauty items, meats, vegetables, condiments, dairy products, organic goods, dental products, paper products, otc medicine, etc. If you don't use any of these products, then you probably shouldn't use coupons. Are there a lot of coupons for organic foods? Typically only about 5% of the coupons we get are for organic foods. Hopefully that number will trend upward. However, when you spend such a small fraction of money on other supplies (cleaning products, paper goods, health beauty, etc.), you have that much more money to spend on your organics and whole foods. When I started looking for ways to cut our budget I bought a Costco membership. Once I started this coupon concept I NEVER went back to Costco. The bulk stores don't even compare to the savings we get. (I stopped shopping at Walmart too!) How soon before I see the dramatic savings other members are getting? It will take between four to six weeks to really see your spending drop. The first few weeks will be spent accumulating the coupons you need to take advantage of all the deals you want. Then it will take a few more weeks to build a solid stockpile. Once your stockpile is built, you will be able to drastically slow down your shopping. At this point, you'll only go in for your perishables, replenishes and HOT DEALS. What makes TCE's Grocery Guides different from these other online lists? The online lists are computer generated and encompass weekly sale items only. The Cuttin' Edge Grocery guides ALSO include:
